The 2015 SYW Convention was hosted recently at the Waterford Estates Lodge  in South Bend, Indiana. The SYW convention is growing and  gaining momentum and had record attendance this year with a great bunch of gamers and vendors! The featured guest was well-known SYW expert Dr. Christopher Duffy. I didn’t attend the convention, but some of my friends did and here are some of their pics and posts! All pictures were taken by Jeff Knudsen and used with his kind permission.

Jeff Knudsen’s naval game, based off the action near Lagos in 1759. Jeff’s ships are scratch built and mostly made of paper. They look great!

Jeff makes the ships and runs the wonderful website War Artizan. Head on over to his site to check out more great sailing pics, instructions on how to make the ships, and rules. It’s a great gaming resource! link

The convention is known for its high quality games, camaraderie  and friendly gamers. If you haven’t attended yet, next year needs to be the year!

Michael Matthews, who attended the con, did a great write-up on some of the games at the convention. It can be found on his excellent blog “Campaigns in Miniature” here!

Thank you to Jeff Knudsen for allowing us to share his excellent pictures of the convention! I just posted a few teaser pics here, but if you would like to see more of his SYW Convention pics,  check out his Flick page here  – link

Good Gaming! Cory @CBB
