Here are a few of the things we do to get the most out of our mats!
Step 1 – Try putting down a piece of foam board, with some ditches, ravines, etc. sculpted into it. This will give your mat some depth. The fleece conforms very well to the contours and doesn’t fold or bunch up.
Step 2 – put down some hills to give your mat some height. We use old pieces of Geo-Hex. The key is to have gentle slopes so that the figures can easily move up and down your hills without falling over and so that the fleece and can easily drape over the hills to create a “rolling hills” look.
Step 3 – put down your CBB terrain mat! This is our Europe 25mm mat. Now you will have some depth, level ground, and a few hills to fight over.
Step 4 – Layer your mat with terrain. Add your own hedges, buildings, tress, fences, etc. This step really brings the mat to life!
Step 5 – Deploy your miniature armies! Here we are playing a 28mm War of the Roses game.
Our goal has always been to provide terrain mats that make it quick and easy to set up a great looking game. This set up above took us just a few minutes to set up! We would love to see what you are doing with the mats! If you would like to share some pictures with us we would love to see them and share them on our blog, and social media outlets! Hi, Excellent product and looks really impressive. Any chance of 28mm scale mats for Sharpsburg/Antietam?
