Most of the times, as Gamers, when we go on vacation, we get to look for local gaming stores and local comic book stores. And sometimes we find some really special items! This year we both went to Florida at different times and found really cool things. Some items new, and some from “Back In My Day”!
I (Chris) came back with some Summer gaming finds that included awesome vintage miniatures and an unusual set of dice:
I (Cory now!)was on vacation in Florida and picked up an unpunched copy of Avalon Hill’s classic game – “Kingmaker” for $3.00 at a garage sale! Wow! This is a game I’m familiar with, and have seen played, but have never played myself. I want to get some friends together sometime and give it a go.
The game recreates the political and military situation in late medieval England during the “War of the Roses”. We are thinking now about using this game to set up some campaign battles for our War of the Roses 28mm miniatures games.
We are always on the lookout for interesting hobby items while on vacation. Is there anything you have found from “Back In Your Day”?
Please share with us and leave a comment! We would love to hear from you! Thanks from Cigar Box Battle – Cory and Chris
